On warm summer days, head to the lake for a day in the sun filled with boat rides and family picnics.
Sitting at 4,750 acres and with a shoreline of 135 miles, Jackson Lake is one of Georgia’s oldest man-made lakes. It occupies parts of Butts, Jasper, and Newton counties.
Fishing & Boating
With both private spots for property owners and public spots for visitors, there’s plenty of secluded coves and inlets to fish in to catch northern bass, crappie, channel catfish, hybrid striped bass, sunfish, and bluegill.
There are plenty of launch sites around the lake at the marinas and boat ramps. Motorboats and jet skis are welcome!
Jackson Lake Association
The JLA is a service organization who focuses on maintaining a positive environment. Check out their Facebook to see when their next trash pickup or event is.
